other civic-minded people who share our goals for
improving our community.
A Note from Rolf
Margenau, Tewksbury, NJ
You may have noticed that I’m running again for Township
Committee. I’m the Democrat from Yale Law School who
worked in international law, helped run a large
privately held corporation, spent 13 years growing an
organization that housed the homeless in Red Bank and
moved to Tewksbury four years ago. I’ve served on our
Parks Committee and am dedicated to preserving our
beautiful surroundings and would like to encourage
efficient and effective management of our Township.
Like most of us, I applaud the individuals willing to
serve us on the Township Committee. However, domination
by a small group of Republicans has resulted in
inadequate planning for the Township’s future, inaction
on easily resolved issues and a deaf ear toward
important constituencies.
As a recent example, our 2004 Master Plan called for
local Boy Scouts to use Fairmont North as a camp ground.
Yet, it took over four years for the Township Committee
to confirm that simple action.
