Message From The Chair

Democrats in Tewksbury are on the move!

Tewksbury Democratic Committee (TDC) was formed in December 2005 by a group of concerned citizens who wish to bring balance and choice to an area that has been long dominated by single-party politics

The TDC pledges to create working relationships with other civic-minded people who share our goals for improving our community. We are committed to engaging in courteous and respectful debate with all parties to promote a healthy exchange of information and opinion. Believing that informed citizens will make the right decisions, we promote citizen education events about important local and national issues and encourage involvement in the political process of creating a fiscally and socially responsible nation.

Since our initial meeting in December of 2005, we have made tremendous strides in establishing a Democratic Party presence in our town, mostly due to the positive response from residents seeking a new voice locally and nationally. We are working to make the Democratic Party an active and vibrant institution in Tewksbury. We are proud of our accomplishments to date which include:

  • Approved Mission Statement
  • Approved Values Statement
  • TDC Website
  • Approved Bylaws
  • Supported candidates for Township Committee
  • Promote Clean Elections in the 24th Assembly and Senate District
  • Supported the Democratic candidates at the Township, County, and District level .

2011 promises to be an important year for the Democratic Party. We need to stop the drastic movement to the right and re-establish the values we hold dear.  I hope you will take this opportunity to explore our website. You’ll find evidence of a new and exciting civic organization burgeoning in Tewksbury, just awaiting your involvement. Come, join us! Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at the Oldwick Library at 7 PM.
